Gorgeous golden light engagement at the beautiful Spanish Oak Ranch in Santa Margarita, CA

These two were so sweet together during their session at Spanish Oaks Ranch. When I arrived at the venue, they had wild turkeys, deer, and cattle roaming the property. So cool! I don’t think the turkey’s liked me though as they ran like the dickens when I tried to take their pictures.
This session couldn’t have been more perfect. The weather was actually nice for it being September, and there was even a slight breeze.
We started the session off in the green right by the wooden slated house on the property! Such prettiness!
They brought their 6 month old great dane pup! She was sooo big…definitely didn’t look like a pup, but she was so sweet! Can’t believe I got the shot with the ring on her nose!
There were a lot of gnats that apparently really liked us…mostly Ernie. Poor guy! I even tried to get an emotional scene set up for them and the darn gnats ruined it!! haha hard to be sweet to each other while batting pests away!
My favorite part
I think my favorite and most fun part of the whole session was when I had them “almost kiss”. I told them almost but don’t kiss. And what did they do? They went right for it! I teased them about kissing and they both instantly blamed each other when they kissed, throwing each other under the bridge. We all had a good laugh.
Overall, Spanish Oaks Ranch is a gorgeous venue! Love how versatile it’s scenery is! So excited for these two to tie the knot in May!!
