I’m a Bakersfield family photographer who uses play, engagement, and joyful connection to capture your authentic moments. Documenting your family that is authentically you, and all those little moments in between. Let’s focus on the moments, not the perfect pose and you’ll feel the love and joy when looking at your photos from your session.

Looking natural…let’s face it, doesn’t come easy in front of a camera. I’ve been in front of the camera too, and thought what do I do and where do I look? Then comes the deer in-the-headlights look. Not to mention the kids staring at the stranger behind the camera and deciding they want nothing to do with it. Something tells me that wasn’t the look or experience we are going for.
So to skip all that uncomfortable and stiff posing, I’ve determined that families who interact with each other usually evoke those authentic and genuine reactions which make those awesome photos that make you feel something when looking at them.
There’s a time and place for those “say cheese” and “look at the camera” moments still, but to look back and remember those special candid moments for years to come, those genuine and candid moments will be what tells your family story.
My goal is for you to just live in the moment with the ones you love, your family, while I document the love and connection you share.

Newborn sessions take time because we are on your precious little ones’ time, and that’s okay! Sometimes your little peanut needs a change or to eat before they settle back down, so we have plenty of time to work with whatever is given.

The Process
Booking
The first step is to reach out (link below) to get things started. We will work together to schedule a day and time (usually near sunset time) that works best. I can suggest locations for you to pick from unless you have a particular spot you had in mind. I also help with wardrobe suggestions if you need help, but most of my families come and nailed their family style! Once I have your signed contract and non-refundable retainer, you’re session is officially booked!
Session
Now comes the fun (and sometimes stressful to parents) part, your family session! Since it can be a little uncomfortable to have a camera in front of your face and we barely have gotten to know one another, I keep it very casual at first with traditional shots. Once the kiddos start (let’s be real) getting ansy, it’s time to start playing for those awesome moments to capture.
Your Gallery
After your amazingly fun family session. I begin editing by curating a beautifully designed family gallery that tells your story. Not only will you enjoy viewing them on your gallery, but you can share the gallery and also download the images directly from the gallery. The best way to view your Family Gallery is for all of you to snuggle up on the couch with your laptop and prepare for the smiles and stories and memories to flow from the images.

I am located in Bakersfield, CA. However, I also work in San Diego and Central Coast. I love traveling, and am up for going practically anywhere!

HOW DO WE BOOK?
I require two things to officially book me as your family photographer. I require a signed contract (done online) and a non-refundable retainer fee of $100 to hold your spot. Once I receive both of those, CONGRATS!!! You’ll have officially booked your photographer and excitedly check that off your to-do list!
