Mitch + Amanda | Bakersfield Private Venue Wedding

Oct 18, 2018 | Wedding

A gorgeous local Bakersfield wedding on an unexpected backyard made for a dream-come-true wedding for these two.

Bride Amanda decided last minute to change where she’s getting ready and rented an airbnb for her and her girls. I wasn’t sure on how this place would look, but as soon as I got there I was beyond excited. It was a house built in the 20’s thus having very LARGE windows which made each room very bright, perfect for getting ready shots! The back yard was also done up and I think I spent over an hour just shooting details, I was having so much fun. The more time I’m given, the more creative and artistic I can get with my detail shots. I absolutely love all the shots I got at that place! Another desire I have for every bride is to have an awesomely long veil! And this bride made it happen! Her veil was so long but I couldn’t wait to play with it and play with it, I did!

There were so many people there to help celebrate the joining of Amanda, her daughter, and Mitch. Amanda was already emotional before she even started walking down the aisle. When it was finally her turn, I could see that she was trying her best to contain herself as she walked across the foot bridge with her dad to meet her husband to be. All the jitters were felt as she walked onto the island. As soon as she saw her man at the alter, her face changed to pure joy and love for her Mitch as she approached him.  Mitch was certainly taken aback at the vision of his gorgeous bride as she walked towards him. His face certainly read “wow!”

The rest of the ceremony was as perfect as could be. Then came the time for the personal vows, of which neither one of them could say without having tears in their eyes. Everyone could feel how heartfelt their vows were and how much they truly love each other. I love being able to witness such moments when couples get married!

Everything about this wedding went seamless and perfect! I had so much time to put a lot of my creative effort into the details and images of Amanda and Mitch and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! I’m so thrilled this local Bakersfield wedding went beyond perfect for a couple who deserved this special day!

Best part of the day

There was so much emotion going on from when the bride was getting ready to when she walked down the aisle and they said their vows. Both groom and bride were emotional during the ceremony, which made me a happy photographer. So much love was shown with their vows and their reactions during their ceremony. One of my favorites.

Wedding Day Uniqueness

Would you believe me when I say that they got married on an island shaped like a heart?! This backyard wedding wasn’t something simple. The property owner had redone his property for his own daughter’s wedding and somehow Amanda and Mitch were able to book their wedding their too. The place was huge and so much beautiful landscape and palm trees! There was a good size bridge to cross over onto the island where the ceremony took place! I wish I had a drone that I could have flown up to get an aerial shot of the wedding venue! That would have been so cool!

Congratulations again Amanda and Mitch on their beautiful day!!!

Fairy Godmother Sara gifted the bride this beautiful card that came with a handkerchief with a fair on it. It was needed shortly after the card was given to the bride.

She discovered the charms that were placed in her bouquet as a surprise, and it got very emotional very quickly.

The Bride’s daughter decided to be shy going the isle with her new step dad. Mitch handled it so sweetly, my mother’s heart just swelled seeing him so tender with her while walking down the isle with her.

One of the groomsmen was facetiming a buddy and pointed the phone at me…so might as well take a picture!

Sara with Fairy Godmother was an absolute joy to work with! She even got ontop of a planter to shield the sun spots off of the hanging wedding dress when I was doing details! Sara ROCKS!
