I first arrive at the venue, cold, but sunny and ready for a beautiful day. Everything was going smoothly. The bride, Rachel, looked amazingly calm as she got primped and pampered for her big day. There was lots of laughs and genuinely a good vibe going on in the girls rooms.
Groom, Graham, arrived! I didn’t recognize him because he shaved his head, but he was totally rocking the look!
Everything was going according to the timeline until we got to the wedding party shots just after the First Look (Thank goodness this didn’t happen during First Look). A big dark cloud rolled in and pat pat pat, it started to rain (insert sad face). So not only were we all cold, but now getting wet and shivering. I imagine we all looked like wet dogs huddled together briefly to figure out a game plan when we all finally went in doors to wait out the rain. There were people even looking up the doppler radar to see how much rain was coming. To our luck (not that I believe in luck), it wasn’t going to last long.
The rest of the wedding day was perfect, and I was beyond stoked when the sun came out for Graham and Rachel’s photos in the back of the venue. Guys, their photos are SO AMAZING!!
Favorite part of the wedding day
These two were so fun to photograph, I would have to say that was my favorite part about their day, just being with them and having lots of laughs and photographing them. I knew they quickly remembered how to be in front of my camera from when we did their engagement session last year. It was awesome seeing them be just them and laughing and having such a great time and I capture their genuine joy.
