Oh my goodness, could this couple and their special day be anymore beautiful and memorable. It honestly amazes me when I get to capture a couple’s biggest day together and how I feel like I’m part of their family, part of their story. Yet I only know them for a time when we start to work together for the final goal of their wedding day. Each wedding I’ve been to is so special, so unique, so personal, and I love it. I love being a part of my couple’s special day!

Joe and Michelle were none different. From the start, I fell in love with this couple. We met at a sushi place (I picked) and just started chatting and I got to learn their story. They knew each other from years ago but it just never worked out for them to be together. She liked him, he was with someone else. Then he liked her later on, but she was with someone else. THEN!!!! Then their paths finally crossed as a last opportunity, if you will. And fast forward to their wedding day, May  27 2017 at Refugio Ranch Vineyards!

After hanging with these two love birds during their wedding, I was constantly witnessing how much they loved each other, and how much their close friends and family loved both of them!

That is why I do what I do and why I love it so much!!!

Congrats Joe and Michelle!!!!! So happy to be apart of your beautiful wedding day as your wedding photographer!!!

I met Andrea online through the San Diego Special Needs Support group on Facebook. I was in need of a friend, and she reached out to me. I’m so glad she did. When we shared our stories with each other, we were able to be a encouragement and be a support for one another.
This mama is such a strong mama (even if she doesn’t feel like it). Her youngest is special needs and had a stroke in utero and he has Cerebral Palsi. But despite the challenges that come with being a special needs family, there is so much love in this family.  It was truly blessing and a pleasure to be able to be this family’s Family Photographer and have some fun at the Scripps Pier in La Jolla!

Having a special needs child comes with a lot of hardship and a lot of trips to the hospital and specialists. Andrea and her family have a GoFundMe account and if you would like to donate to help ease their burden.

I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful family when Alicia reached out to me to do their maternity + newborn session (Clark’s Maternity Session)

I had so much fun with them during their maternity session that I couldn’t wait to see them again when their baby girl was born a short while after the session.

I love doing newborn lifestyle sessions. The best part about them, is the family doesn’t even have to leave their house! The goal with Lifestyle sessions, is I get to capture the family as is in their comfortable environment. As long as there’s plenty of natural lighting in the house and rooms, these are always the best and most precious moments I get to capture for my families.

I think I was torn as to which was my favorite part with this family’s session: being around a new lil squish, or being entertained by her big sister who apparently LOVES being in front of my camera.

Being a mom to two kids myself, I get how the older one may feel with a new baby in the house again, so I did my part and let big sister have to camera love.

I love surprise proposals! They are stressful, yes, but the joy it brings is so worth it! I got to work with the very-talented and stylist designer, Jillian from To Be Designed. Isn’t her set up so beautiful?!!

How he did it:

So Raj has had the ring since October 2016. He contacted Jillian whom then referred him to me. We started planning in the beginning of March.

The planned date was April 30th, they both flew from out of state, he flew a few days earlier without telling her. She was under the impression he was still working and they were both flying into town and meeting at the airport once arrived. He had to take his luggage BACK to the airport the day she arrived and pretend to be getting his luggage once they met up (sneaky sneaky).

Jillian and I arrived at Coronado beach and she put up the set up and I placed the candles (don’t want to say I helped cause she did pretty much all the work haha she’s amazing at that)

We start to see them come walking down the board walk and onto the beach in our direction. Jillian hits play on Raj’s picked out song for when they walk up. I then walk closer to the board walk but I was like the ONLY person standing there so I pretended to photograph the rocks (I know, I know, I’m that good). Meanwhile I hear Jillian yelling at me saying “they are right there!!!” I yelled back “I KNOW!!” hahah
