First and foremost, I very much enjoyed being Jamae and Tony’s San Diego Wedding Photographer! These two were meant to be together and it was evident that their wedding that they are very much loved.I absolutely love these two’s story
They reached out to me via email and wanted to meet with me to discuss wedding photography for their upcoming wedding. I offered to meet at Champagne Bakery in Carmel Mountain (San Diego). Come to find out, that Tony often went their with his family when they lived closer. That’s pretty need we ended up there then!
As we sat down and chatted and had lunch, they told me their story of how they met. And get this!!! They met on Match.com! How adorable is that?!!! In my past, my old choir teacher met his wife on their so it, for some reason, got me very happy and excited for Tony and Jamae. Let me tell you, these two were very fun to just watch. Not in the creepy way though. I loved seeing them interact with each other. Tony, without a doubt, loves Jamae very much. And Jamae, very clearly, is head over heals for Tony. I love seeing my couples like this.
So fast forward to the day of their San Diego wedding
I walked into the bridal sweet and it was PACKED with excited, babbling women and a beaming Jamae getting pampered. She seemed so relaxed and very much enjoying the moments at hand. This girl, she is such a sweetheart and I very much loved capturing her special morning and her cuteness in the photos she requested I capture (her hugging her dress, her shushing just before the first look).
The ceremony went without a hitch, I’d say, even when the bride stumbled slightly walking down the steps at the alter. Tony already had her hand and honestly it was incredibly graceful. I often like seeing the bloopers at weddings because, to me, it makes the wedding all the more memorable and personal to each bride and groom and their guests. Of course this is coming from someone that sees lots of weddings a year.
Reception time!
The uniqueness didn’t stop there, Tony and Jamae also did a choreographed first dance. It wasn’t your typical choreographed dance either. It was something that was SO them! And then at the end of the day, they did a Greek dance. I stood on top of a chair to capture the giant crowd of people dancing the Greek dance. It was so cool and I just love seeing other cultures involved in people’s weddings!
Congrats again to Tony and Jamae, your day was perfect!!!
